Why is Aleida allowed in NASA?

Hi all,

I am only on S02E05, but can someone let me know why they let Aleida work in NASA? All she seems to do is interrupt superiors, be rude and act like a sulking child. For me this is totally unrealistic and jarring, as this wouldn't be allowed in real life at all in any professional organisation let alone NASA.
